Based in the Southwest of England, Southwest Smokehouse est 2018 sits in the centre of Exeter, Devon. The smokehouse has been built using recycled, used and salvaged equipment. The smoking kiln from an old'ish' (1988) large industrial fridge, smoke generators from old heavy duty oil drums and the building recycled from an old shipping container turned builders canteen converted into a workable “semi state of the art” prep area.
Using nothing other than sustainably sourced produce from some of the country's and Southwest’s best farmers along with a chef way of thinking the smokehouse manages to produce some of the finest smoked products on the market.
Our promise is to smoke nothing but the best produce and aim for nothing more but to do justice not only for of our hard work but especially for our suppliers who bring us such incredible raw produce. This means we put all of our care and attention into looking after and creating utterly amazing products out of the fish, game and meat that lands at our feet here at southwest smokehouse.
